ABBA’s worldwide sales vary from 300 - 400 million, making them the second most successful band of all time, after The Beatles. Formed in Stockholm in 1972, the group consisted of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
The group enjoyed a lot of success in the UK during the 1970s. Abba's most famous tour was in Australia in 1977 where fans went wild for the group, who were at the height of their fame. In the same year, the group announced two dates at London's Royal Albert Hall. Application for tickets was by mail only. It was later revealed that over 3.5 million people applied for tickets to the show - enough to fill the venue an astonishing 580 times.
