ABBA’s worldwide sales vary from 300 - 400 million, making them the second most successful band of all time, after The Beatles. Formed in Stockholm in 1972, the group consisted of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
Long before ABBA formed each member was already involved in the Scandinavian music scene. Benny was in a band called The Hep Stars, who were known as the Swedish Beatles. Björn was in a folk band called The Hootenanny Singers. Agnetha had a number one single in Sweden when she was just 17 and Anni-Frid had performed in countless musical ensembles and had formed her own band, The Anni-Frid Four.
