Sir Paul McCartney will induct his fellow Beatle Ringo Starr into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .

The former Beatles musician has been confirmed as a presenter at this year's ceremony, which takes place on April 18. He has been given the role of initiating his old bandmate Ringo into the prestigious museum in Cleveland, Ohio, but it's not clear whether they'll sing together.

"I told Paul that I'm not putting a band together," Starr told Rolling Stone. "If he puts a band together, I'll do With A Little Help From My Friends."

Legendary singer Stevie Wonder will also speak about Bill Withers on the night and Patti Smith will be inducting Lou Reed , who passed away in October 2013.
