Sir Paul McCartney has praised One Direction, saying they make "good records"
Take a deep breath, this might a nasty taste in the mouth of some; Sir Paul McCartney has praised One Direction.
The former Beatle told Sky News: "I like One Direction. They're young, beautiful boys and that's the big attraction."
The 71-year-old added that the group make "good records" and that "girls love them".
Speaking about comparisons between One Direction and The Beatles, he said: "But they can sing, they can make good records, so I think that's what I would see in common."
He added: "I always think it's a little bit unfortunate when you call [bands] the new Beatles. It can be the kiss of death because people expect you to live up to what we did."
Paul McCartney a One Direction fan, eh? Who’d have thought it? Do you think One Direction have the longevity to go down in history as a great boy band?
