Formed in 1977, The Police were made up of drummer Stewart Copeland, schoolteacher Gordon ‘Sting’ Sumner and guitarist Andy Summers. Pretty quickly, Sting took control of the band and the others began to feel as though he was their boss, leading to incredible fights within the band. The inevitable happened: they split up.
