Jimmy Ruffin, the Motown performer who scored his biggest hit with 1966's What Becomes of the Brokenhearted, has died at the age of 78.
Jimmy Ruffin was the brother of David Ruffin. In 1961, Jimmy became a singer as part of the Motown stable, most often on sessions but also recording singles for its subsidiary Miracle label. He was then drafted for national service.
