One Of Us ABBA
With selfies, awards and one pretty special reunion, 2014 has been an amazing year. Join us in celebrating the stars who've made the last twelve months their own!
Nile Rodgers is one of our favourite people and 2014 saw him become a superstar once more. He's been everywhere; The Grammys, The Brits, he even headlined a music festival on the Isle of Wight!
Stevie Wonder has won every award going this year and rightly so! Although a lot of musicians have taken home Grammys and been labeled Musical Icons, how many have been awarded The Presidential Medal Of Freedom? Not many!
Back in February, David Bowie won the Brit Award for Best Male, beating Jake Bugg and Tom Odell to the coveted prize. The Thin White Duke clearly still has it. In fact, Bowie is so cool he didn’t even turn up to the event and instead requested that supermodel Kate Moss pick it up!
It’s been a big year for Dolly, who released her 42nd album (Blue Smoke) in the summer. But more than that, the country legend played to a huge crowd at Glastonbury Festival and was undoubtedly one of the weekend’s highlights. On the performance, she said "I liked them and we just had a good old time. I even wrote a song about the mud for them, so they liked that!"
Rumours had been circulating for literally years, but in 2014 Fleetwood Mac announced their triumphant return. Not only are they getting back together, but they’ll be playing the legendary Isle Of Wight Festival in 2015 too.
Anyone who managed to take one of the most seen photos of the year deserves a nod from us! Can you name all the celebs in the photo?
This year, Donny Osmond released his 60th album! The Soundtrack Of My Life, which was released on November 3rd, celebrates his fifty years in showbiz and includes a bunch of great covers!
Barbra Streisand is definitely one of 2014 winners. Streisand made musical history with the release of her tenth album Partners, which went to number one in the US. That means she's had a number one album in each of the last six decades - that's great work!
Although it received mixed reviews, Kate Bush's return was certainly one of the most talked about events from the year. Bush performed 22 shows across August, September and October and they were her first for 35 years!
