Hot Chocolate had at least one hit every year between 1970 and 1984 and their one of their signature songs, ‘You Sexy Thing’, made the Top 10 in three separate decades.
We take a look at Hot Chocolate’s five greatest songs:
1. So You Win Again (1977)
Taken from the Hot Chocolate album Every 1's a Winner, ‘So You Win Again’ is band's only UK number one single.
2. You Sexy Thing (1975)
'You Sexy Thing’ reached number two in the UK in 1975, and number three in the US Pop charts in 1976. The song is well-known for being featured the film The Full Monty.
3. No Doubt About It (1980)
'No Doubt About It' was Hot Chocolate’s highest-charting hit of the 1980s, peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart. It spent a total of eleven weeks in the chart. In a newspaper interview in 2009, Errol Brown said about the song: "This was written by two guys who thought they saw a UFO over Hampstead Heath."
4. Love Is Life (1970)
Love Is Life was Hot Chocolate’s first single to make the UK Singles Chart; it reached number 6 on the UK charts and staying in the chart for twelve weeks.
5. Emma (1974)
'Emma' reached number three in the UK Singles Chart and number eight in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Errol Brown wrote the song about the death of his mother and it tells the story of an aspiring actress who commits suicide.
