Ringo Starr

1. He's a left-handed drummer but plays a right-handed kit

He had (and continues to have) a unique drumming style, brought on by being left-handed and having to play on a right-handed drum set.

2. He's married to a Bond Girl

Ringo's wife Barbara Bach is a former Bond girl. She appeared in the James Bond movie 'The Spy Who Loved Me'.

3. Ringo set up his own furniture company in 1971

He set the company up with designer Robin Cruikshank and it specialised in art-deco pieces.

4. Ringo liked to record his drum parts in one take

Ringo preferred to record his parts live in the studio with The Beatles playing along.

5. Muhammad Ali once said "My dog plays better drums!" in reference to Ringo's musical abilities!

Poor Ringo! We don't think he'll mind that now though; he's thought to be the wealthiest drummer in the world!
