The Rolling Stones frontman and his 29-year-old girlfriend welcomed their first son in New York today.
A stage show based around the purple maestro’s songs could be on the way as his estate prepares to release the artist’s vault of music.
Prince’s output was legendary and a vault at his Paisley Park residence is said to contain thousands of unreleased songs - but we could soon be treated to its contents.
In an interview with the New York Post, Charles Koppleman, who has been appointed to manage Prince’s entertainment assets, revealed that those secret songs could be released in the near future and that there should be a musical or Cirque du Soleil show based on his work.
“Prince was an icon on the level of The Beatles and Michael Jackson, and his legacy should be honoured,” Koppelman said. “Though his name was Prince, I always thought he was the king of music.”
Koppleman singed Prince when he was head of EMI and was appointed by the musician’s estate to handle his work because of their time working together.
