The statue was donated to the city of Liverpool by the late singer's sons.
Barry Manilow is to headline a new Broadway stage show
Manilow on Broadway will see the singer returning to the New York stage for the first time in 24 years.
The event will start on January 18, 2013 for 17 shows on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the historic St James Theater.
Manilow said in a statement that he is excited for the shows because "Broadway has always held a special place in [his] heart".
He previously starred on Broadway with his Barry Manilow at the Gershwin for more than 40 shows in 1989.
The singer has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
