The musician has opened up about closely he worked with the late and great John Lennon, when writing songs for The Beatles.
Dave Davies has taken to social media to say that Jimmy Page invented the distorted guitar sound on The Kinks classic 'You Really Got Me'.
Kinks founder Dave Davies has confirmed that Jimmy Page did not play on the song; rather, Dave played the guitar solo.
Taking to Facebook, this is what a clearly frustrated Dave had to say:
Jimmy Page has also denied the stories he played on the song as far back as 1970, saying in an interview: “I didn't play on 'You Really Got Me' and that's what pisses him (Davies) off.”
