The 'Rocket Man' singer spent two nights in intensive care after becoming "violently ill".
Organisers estimate 120,000 fans turned up to watch Lionel Richie's first ever Glastonbury set.
Lionel Richie has called his first ever Glastonbury set 'absolutely outrageous' after well over 100,000 people turned up to witness his set. Apparently so many people were singing along to his songs he could hardly hear himself.
"This was organised chaos at its best. Karaoke at its finest. I was in amazement," said a glowing Lionel afterwards.
Richie played hits All Night Long, We Are the World, Easy and Three Times A Lady during his set. He stated on stage "I'm going to try and play you as many songs as I remember."
Alledgedly, some of the fans knew the lyrics better than Lionel did!
"There's some people here on the front row who know the lyrics better than I do so when I get it wrong they look at each other like, "that's not how it goes!""
But everyone was reportedly still smiling. Congratulations to Mr Richie on showing them how it's done!
