Nile Rodgers won an award at the BMI London Awards last night.

The awards celebrate European songwriters that have written the most popular tracks on US TV and radio in the year leading up to the event.

Rodgers was awarded the Song of the Year prize for Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky'.

'Get Lucky' was co-written with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk as well as Pharrell Williams, and beat popular artists Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran to win the award.

Meanwhile, Sir Tim Rice was given the BMI Icon Award.
