The star will be the third ever winner of the prestigious award, it's inaugural winner was Elton John in 2013, followed by David Bowie in 2016.
"It is only presented to artists whose writing, recording and performances have set them apart as having made a lasting impact on British culture, recognising the very highest level of achievement in music," organisers explained.
Robbie already has 17 Brit Awards under his belt and will release his 11th studio album, 'The Heavy Entertainment Show' on 4th November.
"The Brit Awards are very special to me, and I'm humbled to be receiving the 18th of my career next month," the 42-year-old said.
The annual ceremony will take place at the O2 in London on 22nd February 2017.
