The statue was donated to the city of Liverpool by the late singer's sons.
At 73, Tina Turner has become the oldest person to grace the cover of Vogue magazine
The legend that is Tina Turner has become the oldest person to make the cover of Vogue, at the age of 73.
The singer appears on her first Vogue cover for the April 2013 issue of German Vogue. Shot by photography duo Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer and styled by Nicola Knels, the gorgeous Turner stuns in a modern silk blue gown by Armani, with a red pout and her signature honey blonde-hair. And what else could they choose as the title, other than “Simply the Best!"?
The ‘Private Dancer’ singer took the title for the oldest person to cover the fashion magazine from Meryl Streep, who covered the American Vogue last year at age 62.
Turner is currently in the studio recording the studio album ‘Beyond 2’.
Here’s hoping we look this good at 73...
