Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva have welcomed a new baby boy to their family.

Alejandra, 37, has given birth to the couple’s second child, according to Spanish magazine Hola!.

Richard, 71, married Alejandra in August 2018 at a civil ceremony in Spain before celebrating the occasion with friends and family in America in May 2019.

The pair first met in 2014 at a luxury Italian boutique hotel that Alejandra had bought with her former husband.

Richard and Alejandra became parents to their first child together, Alexander, in February 2019.

Both Alejandra and Richard have other children – Richard has a 20-year-old son called Homer James Jigme with his former wife Carey Lowell, while Alejandra has a seven-year-old son called Albert with her ex Govind Friedland.

The private couple have yet to officially confirm they were expecting their second child.

Gere told Hola! after the couple’s wedding: “I’m the happiest man in the universe and how couldn’t I be!

“I’m married to a beautiful, sensitive, funny woman who’s committed to helping people and is a great mother.”
