Runway on The Runway returns for a third show in partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust on 31st March
Smooth Radio is proud to announce our support to The Teenage Cancer Trust event, Runway on The Runway taking place on 31st March in Manchester.
Our very own Jo Lloyd will host the prom-themed fashion show is to both increase awareness and raise vital funds for Teenage Cancer Trust (NW) which supports young people living with cancer. Each year around 500 young people between the ages of 13 and 23 are diagnosed with cancer here in the North West, where awareness still remains the lowest in the UK.
Ten schools will take part in the amazing fashion event showcasing the latest prom fashion on our spectacular custom-built catwalk. Working with the Runway on the Runway team, each school will choreograph their own catwalk as well as raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust. The top fundraising school will be awarded the "Thumbs Up" trophy in memory of Stephen Sutton and there will be a trophy for the best catwalk awarded by Boss Models as well as for the best catwalk hair courtesy of Trevor Sorbie salons.
This year some of the teachers will also get the chance to show off their catwalk skills. A special “teachers only” catwalk where they get the chance to wear their school’s uniform will be part of the show. “Pimp my Uniform” will see them strut their stuff to a huge 80’s anthem. #oldschoolfun.
