Join us underneath Concorde on Saturday 16th June and help the fantastic work continue at Maggies Manchester.

On Saturday 16th June Smooth Radio will be joining Maggie’s Manchester - the charity which provides free practical and emotional support for people living with cancer - for a second spectacular fashion show.

Maggie’s on The Runway will once again feature a catwalk where all the models are people affected by cancer, with a glitzy afternoon tea, evening gala ball and performances from entertainment stars – all under the wings of Concorde at the Manchester Airport Visitor Centre.

Sinead Collins, Centre Head at Maggie’s Manchester which is based in the grounds of the Christie Hospital, said: “Maggie’s Manchester is here to help anyone affected by cancer, and you don’t need an appointment or referral – just come on in. Maggie’s Manchester is a place where you can find practical advice about benefits and jobs, with qualified experts who can provide emotional support, and where you can meet other people or simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.”

Sinead expressed her excitement for the upcoming event of the year; “Maggie’s on the runway will be such a special thing for us – I’d urge anyone to get involved. Maggie’s is a place that picks people up when they are facing tough questions, exhausting treatment and difficult emotions. The money raised through Maggie’s on the Runway will allow us to support even more people when they need us most."
