And this year, there will be double the fun with two markets to enjoy. From 10th November – 22nd December, head to St Enoch Square for your festive fix, and from 26th November – 29th December, delight in the brand new markets at George Square. There’s something for everyone, from scarves, jewellery, hats and purses, to chutneys, cheeses and waffles. Browse the stalls and fill your senses with the smells and sounds of Christmas while sipping Glühwein or a warming hot chocolate.
Style Mile Christmas Carnival On Sunday the 27th November, the Style Mile Christmas Carnival promises to dazzle Christmas shoppers as it sprinkles some seasonal sparkle throughout the city centre. Heralding the start of the festive season there will be lots of surprises in store as the procession brings the streets and precincts alive with festive cheer.
Glasgow’s 5k Santa Dash Ho Ho Ho! Be part of this year’s 5k Santa Dash! On Sunday 11th December, Glasgow City Centre will be a merry place to be as thousands of Santas pound the streets to raise money for good causes. Every single runner will receive a dashing Santa suit to wear on the day and a Santa’s little helper medal at the finish line. Fabulous spot prizes will also be awarded for those taking part in this 5K event. Get yourself on Santa’s good list and register today!
Festive Theatre He’s behind you! It isn’t quite Christmas until you’ve been to see one of Glasgow’s many fun, family pantomimes and Christmas shows. Why not head to the King’s Theatre for Cinderella (2nd Dec – 8th Jan), the fairy godmother of all pantos, or take a magic carpet ride to a whole new world of festive fun with Aladdin at the Clyde Auditorium (10th – 31st Dec). Sing-a-long on a journey through the winter sky with The Snowman accompanied by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (17th Dec) or take the little ones to see The Night After Christmas at the Tron Theatre (29th Nov – 31st Dec).
