Adele's second album has sold 4,740,000 copies in the UK since its release, beating the likes of Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson.
Adele’s 21 has sold more copies in the UK than any other album this millennium.
According to a new survey by the Official Charts Company, the Someone Like You singer has sold a incredible 4,740,000 copies of her second album to date.
It puts her ahead of Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, which takes second place with sales of 3,560,000 since its 2006 release and Michael Buble’s Crazy Love, which takes seventh place. The Beatles feature in 10th place with their album, 1.
Robbie Williams and Take That shared the honours for the most appearances in the top 50, with four entries each.
Adele’s 21 was released in 2011 and has spent 23 weeks at the top of the UK album charts.
