A spokesperson for the singer has confirmed to Billboard that Franklin will release the album on September 30.
The Queen Of Soul will release a cover of Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' as the album's lead single, according to Showbiz 411.
It has been reported that the album will be called Aretha Franklin Sings Songs of the Great Divas and will feature Franklin re-working ten tracks from different female artists.
Songs will include covers of Alicia Keys's 'No One', Etta James's 'At Last' and Sinead O'Connor hit 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.
