The queen of country will be narrating light-hearted bedtime stories in a new weekly web series to help "share some love" during these challenging times.

Dolly Parton will be reading bedtime stories online during coronavirus quarantine, to help little ones (and adults too!) get to sleep.

The country legend will host the new weekly show, titled Goodnight With Dolly, in which she'll narrate her own original tales and other lighthearted stories.

The first episode airs tomorrow (April 2), and viewers will be able to watch the show on Parton's Imagination Library, YouTube and Facebook every Thursday evening for the following 9 weeks.

"This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while, but the timing never felt quite right,” Dolly said in a statement.

“I think it is pretty clear that now is the time to share a story and to share some love."

Watchers can expect to hear narrations of Loren Long's There’s a Hole in the Log on the Bottom of the Lake and Parton's original I Am a Rainbow in the exciting new series.
