Lionel Richie announces huge one-off UK show: Dates, tickets and venue revealed

Lionel Richie fans have something to look forward to this summer, as the famous crooner has announced a massive UK performance.
The 'Hello' star, 76, has confirmed he will take to the stage at King Charles' Sandringham Estate, as part of HeritageLive Festivals’ series of large-scale outdoor concerts.

The event promises to be a celebration of Richie’s legendary career, with the artist set to perform a 90-minute headline set on August 20.
Lionel’s confirmed appearance joins a series of HeritageLive concerts this summer, including Eric Clapton with Ronnie Wood and Andy Fairweather Low at Sandringham on 23 August.
Other shows at iconic venues this July and August include Faithless, Richard Ashcroft, UB40 ft. Ali Campbell, Scissor Sisters, The Streets, and Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics.

Giles Cooper of HeritageLive Festivals said of the announcement: “Lionel Richie is quite simply one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
"From his early days at Motown through to the incredible solo career that has seen him sell millions of records and perform to audiences all over the world, his music has soundtracked generations.
"To have an artist of his calibre perform an exclusive UK show for us at The Sandringham Estate in 2026 is truly special, and we can’t wait for what is going to be an unforgettable evening of timeless music!”
Lionel’s glittering career includes solo hits such as 'All Night Long', 'Dancing On The Ceiling', 'Say You, Say Me' and 'Hello', as well as classics with The Commodores like 'Three Times A Lady', 'Still', and 'Easy'.

He has received multiple Grammys, a Golden Globe, and an Oscar, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. That same year, he became the 12th recipient of the prestigious Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.
Tickets for the show go on pre-sale on Wednesday, 25 March at 9am, with VIP packages offering premium seating and exclusive experiences available for fans.
