Paul McCartney Announces ‘Tribute’ Album

Billy Joel, Smokey Robinson and more sing their favourite McCartney songs for the compilation album, The Art of Paul McCartney
50 years ago, Paul McCartney established himself as one of the most influential songwriters ever. The former Beatle is now reaping the rewards with compilation The Art of Paul McCartney, featuring covers of songs by McCartney during his time in the Beatles and Wings and as a solo artist.
A host of fellow influential singer-songwriters including Bob Dylan ("Things We Said Today"), B.B. King ("On the Way"), Smokey Robinson ("So Bad"), Barry Gibb ("When I'm 64"), Billy Joel ("Maybe I'm Amazed," "Live and Let Die"), Willie Nelson ("Yesterday"), among many others, have all put their unique spin on McCartney songs.
The first song to be released from the album is a take on the Beatles' "Hello Goodbye" – as recorded by the Cure and Paul's son James. The full compilation is set to come out on November 18th.
