Robbie Williams may have scored a record 14 solo no. 1 albums, but he reckons it’s his daughter who is the real talent in the family.
The 'Angels' singer has tipped his eldest child, Teddy, for huge things; but, for now, he’s deliberately holding her back.
The ex-Take That star, who shares four children with wife Ayda Field, opened up about 13-year-old Teddy’s musical ability and the difficult balance between nurturing talent and protecting a child from public scrutiny.

“There won’t be an album from Ted before my next one. But she’s raring to go,” Robbie told The Sun.
“She’s very, very talented. She’s got a wonderful voice and writes songs easily.
“She’s miles ahead of me when I was her age,” he added. “And, you know, she’s a girl. They’re just smarter than boys, aren’t they?”

Teddy, whose full name is Theodora, is the eldest of four children Robbie shares with his wife, Ayda Field.
The couple, who married in 2010, have built a family life largely away from the public eye, something Robbie has been fiercely protective of.
For years, they chose not to show their children’s faces publicly, carefully controlling how much of their lives were visible.
That instinct to shield hasn’t gone away, if anything, it’s sharpened as Teddy edges closer to a potential career.
“So, yeah, I’m incredibly proud of her. I can’t wait to see what she creates,” he said. But there’s a clear hesitation underpinning that pride.

“I’ve always wanted her to come on stage and sing with me for like the last three years at least,” he admitted. “But then you see other children of famous people get up and then just then pulled apart.
“And I’m just thinking, best to wait a bit. I wouldn’t want to kill the confidence before it starts.”
Still, she has already begun to step into public life; Teddy had an early brush with global attention when she appeared as a bridesmaid at the Wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in 2018.
And in November 2025, Teddy made her acting debut at the premiere of Tinsel Town, appearing alongside her parents and signalling a gentle introduction to stardom.

Teddy’s step into the spotlight comes after other celebrity children, including the offspring of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, and of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, have begun testing the waters of music careers themselves.
Cruz Beckham faced a shaky start when he launched his own music career with band Cruz Beckham and the Breakers, with early releases drawing mixed reactions.
But a recent small tour has garnered more positive reviews, and the youngest male Beckham may steppign out from the shadow of his famous parents.

Similarly, Apple Martin has shown flashes of musical promise, occasionally performing with her father and attracting attention for her voice.
She most notably sang at a bar in Nashville, with her father, the Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, watching on in the audience.
