He's one of Britain's most successful athletes of all time...
Andy Murray is easily the greatest British male tennis player of all time (sorry Fred Perry fans), and here are all the big facts about the Scot.
Andy Murray has won 47 titles during his career, which began in 2005. He has won 45 singles titles, and two doubles titles.
He has won three Grand Slams: Wimbledon twice (2013 and 2016) and the US Open (2012). He has also won Olympic gold twice, 14 Masters titles, and one ATP Finals title.
Andy Murray was born on May 15, 1987.
He celebrates his 32nd birthday in 2019.
Andy began dating Kim Sears, the daughter of player-turned-coach Nigel Sears, in 2005. Although they split for a brief period, they reunited and have been together ever since. Kim is often seen supporting Andy at his matches.
Their engagement was announced in November 2014, and they married on April 11, 2015 at Dunblane Cathedral in his hometown, with the reception at his Cromlix House hotel.
Andy and Kim have two daughters.
Their first daughter Sophia was born in February 2016, and their second - whose name hasn't been revealed - followed in November 2017.
Andy is the son of Judy Murray (née Erskine) and William Murray. His parents split up when he was 10, with him and his brother Jamie living with their father while being mentored in tennis by their mother.
Judy is a successful tennis coach, and was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2017 for services to tennis, women in sport, and charity.
William is the regional manager of Scottish newsagent chain RS McColl. He remarried in 2017.
Andy said of his parents in 2007: "They didn't speak too much and they didn't get on too well together... they are just two different people."
Jamie is slightly older, having been born in 1986.
Jamie Murray is a five-time Grand Slam doubles winner and a Davis Cup champion, and a former doubles world No. 1.
In 2009, Jamie began dating Colombian MBA student Alejandra Gutiérrez. They married in 2010, with brother Andy acting as best man. Jamie repaid the favour at Andy's wedding.
Andy grew up in Dunblane and attended Dunblane Primary School. He and his brother were present during the 1996 Dunblane school massacre, when Thomas Hamilton killed 16 children and a teacher before shooting himself.
Murray took cover in a classroom. He has said he was too young to understand what was happening, and prefers not to talk about it in interviews.
In his autobiography Hitting Back, he states that he attended a youth group run by Hamilton and his mother gave Hamilton lifts in her car.
Andy Murray is around 6ft 1 ⅞ (187.6 cm).
He is taller than Rafael Nadal and about the same height as Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Perhaps a little taller!
Andy Murray’s net worth is thought to be around $100 million (£75.5 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth.
