Ben & Jerry's are giving away free ice cream across the UK as a part of their 'Waiting Isn't Working' campaign.

It might be getting colder outside, but there's never a bad time for ice cream, especially if it's free and for a great cause.

Ben & Jerry's are giving away free ice cream as a part of their 'Waiting Isn't Working' campaign this week. The campaign sets out to help reinstate the right to work for people seeking asylum.

The free ice cream tour is as follows:

29th October – Leeds

30th October – Exeter

1st November – London

7th November – Cardiff

When giving away the free ice cream, Ben & Jerry's will encourage their customers to sign a petition to change the right to work for refugees. By teaming up with Refugee Action as a part of the Lift The Ban coalition, the free ice cream aims to let the government know that we need to change the rules of welcoming refugees into the UK.

Ben & Jerry's say that "we believe in peace, love and Fairtrade ice cream. When we look at the way that refugees and people seeking asylum are treated, we think there's room for more of all three."
