Band Aid 30

The Band Aid 30 song will feature Adele, Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran and One Direction.

Christmas song classic ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ is set to undergo another makeover, as well-known stars from the music world collaborate for the 30th anniversary of Band Aid.

Boomtown Rats frontman Sir Bob Geldof and Ultravox's Midge Ure today announced the line-up for this year's version, which will be the fourth recording of the popular song.

Artists including Adele, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande and One Direction will all contribute to the song.

Tracey Emin will provide the single's artwork, while Adele’s producer Paul Epworth will work on the track.

Geldof has said that the lyrics to the song will be changed to reflect the Ebola epidemic that the track will be in aid of.

Recording on the track will take place this weekend (November 15), and will be available to download on Monday, November 17.

It will cost 99p to download the song, and £4 to buy the single. Money raised from the project will go towards the fight against Ebola.
