The Beach Boys’ Wilson has himself said that the film does a good job of portraying his life with a young Wilson being played by Paul Dano and the older artist by John Cusack.

The biopic also stars Elizabeth Banks as his second wife, Melinda Ledbetter and Paul Giamatti as his physician and caretaker Eugene Landy. The film was written by Michael A. Lerner and Oren Moverman and directed by Bill Pohlad.
Love & Mercy will be released on June 5.
