The classic band will play the capital in September, and Boy George has called the reunion a 'recovery'.
Boy George has spoken out about the impending, and much-anticipated, Culture Club reunion tour.
"Three of the four of us are in recovery," George said to the New York Daily News, indicating the whole band except bassist Mikey Craig. "And he really ought to be in recovery!"
"This whole comeback is just one big amends," stated guitarist Roy Hay.
The band were speaking at the performance of three classic Culture Club songs for NBC's Throwback Thursday segment on the Today programme. The set went down a storm and reportedly Hilary Swank 'broke in' to their dressing room to confess her wholehearted adulation.
Cuture Club's UK show has been announced to take place in London this September. The whole gang, (Boy George, Mikey Craig, Roy Hay and Jon Moss) will play Hammersmith's Eventim Apollo.
The band were originally scheduled to play together in 2014 but had to cancel shows due to Boy George's illness. Their new album, Tribes, is expected before the end of the year.
Culture Club will play London's Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on September 5th. Tickets are on sale now.
