Diana Ross And Bruce Springsteen Given America’s Highest Honour

The two legends were given the Presidential Medal of Freedom for their services to music.

Ross and Springsteen attended the White House on Tuesday evening to receive America’s highest civilian honour from president Barack Obama.

They were joined by some of the most accomplished people from entertainment, sport and business, including actors Tom Hanks and Robert De Niro, basketball player Michael Jordan and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

One follow recipient almost found herself barred from the prestigious evening though. Talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres was initially refused entry by security because she forgot her pass!

Thankfully she managed to convince them to let her in and took the opportunity to record possibly the most star studded 'mannequin challenge' video yet:
