A spokesperson for Dolly Parton has denied that the star mimed during her Glastonbury Festival debut on Sunday (June 29).
The singer attracted the biggest crowd on the Pyramid Stage, with a set that was full of Parton’s hits, including 'Jolene', '9 to 5' and 'Here You Come Again'.
Parton was greeted with a warm reception at Worthy Farm, but – as always - debate soon began to rage on social media about whether her vocals were pre-recorded.
A representative for Parton responded to the controversy on Sunday (June 29) by insisting that the singer's vocals were live.
"She sings live. Some people don't know an amazing singer when they hear one," Parton's press spokesman told the Sunday Mirror.
