The Take That singer has landed a brand new job on Channel 4.

Howard Donald will team up with retired racing driver Dario Franchitti for Mission Ignition, a four-part series of hour-long episodes.

The show will see two classic cars taken to pieces, with Howard - who worked as a panel beater and vehicle sprayer before joining Take That - and Dario then working to put them back together with a team of amateur car fans.

The first team to rebuild their car, will then be allowed to keep it.

Howard said: "I've always loved classic cars, so the opportunity to be involved in 'Mission Ignition' and see these historic cars rebuilt is fantastic."

Channel 4 hope the 'Never Forget' singer will attract viewers that might not normally be interested in motoring shows.

An insider told The Sun: "Producers know that it's a real coup to get a big name like Howard on board and it will attract a lot of new viewers who might not usually be drawn to car shows.

"Along with the tension and drama of the build, Mission Ignition will also take a nostalgic journey through the history of the cars celebrating the ingenuity of these fantastic machines. Howard is chuffed to be involved because it for him it's a genuine passion project."

We hear Top Gear need a replacement for Matt Le Blanc, Howard!
