Legendary comedian Sir Lenny Henry will head out on a brand new UK tour this autumn.

Starting on October 20 at Birmingham’s Hippodrome, Sir Lenny will make appearances throughout the UK, including shows at Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre and the Blackpool Opera House, before finishing on November 29 at Stoke’s Regent Theatre.

An Evening with Lenny Henry: Who Am I, Again? will take audiences through a 'jam session of funny and sad memories', from growing up in the Black Country to school, friendship, family secrets and dealing with racism.

He will also be interviewed by friend and author Jon Canter, for more recollections of his life and career, followed by questions from the audience.

“I’m looking forward to travelling around and telling these stories,” Lenny said. “Writing the book was a huge feat and I’m very proud of it – I can’t wait to share more stories and fun about growing up in the Midlands, my early days in the clubs, pubs and discotheques and of course working on Tiswas, Three of a Kind and The Lenny Henry Show.

"The show promises to be an evening of memories, laughter and fun – I can’t wait to get started.”
