It looks as though the Freddie Mercury biopic has hit another setback, as director Dexter Fletcher has left its production.
The director has departed the project over creative differences with producer Graham King of GK Films, reports Deadline.
This isn’t the first time drama has surrounded the production; Ben Whishaw is set to star in Mercury following the exit of Sacha Baron Cohen last year. Cohen was reported to have exited over similar reasons to Fletcher, although Mercury's fellow Queen band member Brian May dismissed these reports as "sensationalist".
Mercury is scheduled to begin filming in the summer. Do you think you’ll be going to see it?
