The 'All of Me' singer has taken to Twitter to announce postponed performances.
John Legend has cancelled planned performances.
The 38-year-old musician has apologised to his fans, but explains that he desperately needs to take some time to rest his voice.
He tweeted: "I want to personally apologise. I've gotten sick and need a few days to recover and rest my voice. We will be postponing the shows at Merriweather Post Pavilion and BB&T Pavilion in Camden. We will announce the new dates very soon."

John explained that all tickets to his US shows will be honoured and assures his fans they'll see him soon.
This isn't ideal for him as he is currently on his world tour of his latest album 'Darkness and Light'.
On the up side he says this is the first tour where his family has come with him – his wife and 14-month-old daughter Luna.
He said: "This will be Luna's first tour, she's gonna be on the tour bus with me."
Get well soon John!
