Kool & the Gang's Clifford Adams Dies, Aged 62

Kool & the Gang trombonist Clifford Adams has died at the age of 62.

Adams passed away on January 12 in New Jersey after a year-long battle with liver cancer, according to reports.

Adams performed with Kool & the Gang regularly at various times throughout the group's 51-year history. 

The group achieved a US number-one hit with 'Celebration' in 1980, and also reached the top ten with 'Ladies' Night' and 'Too Hot’.

Kool & the Gang still perform together this day, with multiple long-time members of the band still appearing.
