Congratulations are in order for Nicole Appleton, who has given birth to a baby girl after hiding her pregnancy for nine months.

The 45-year-old singer confirmed that she has welcomed a daughter with boyfriend Stephen Haines, after managing to keep it a secret for nine months.

The All Saints star, who was previously married to Oasis star Liam Gallagher, wrote on Instagram: "After hiding my pregnancy for the last 9 months…which was SOOOOO difficult & keeping her a secret from all my friends…

"I can finally announce our incredible news!!..Our little girl ‘Skipper Hudson Haines’ has arrived Stephen & Gene are besotted!!! I’m SOOO HAPPY!!".

Her twin sister Natalie responded with a load of heart emojis, while Natalie's husband Liam Howlett wrote under The Prodigy Instagram account: "Congratulations ! Amazing , unkle L xxx."

Liam Gallagher’s daughter Molly Moorish also replied: "Ahhh ❤️❤️ congratulations!"

Nicole shared a cute picture of herself and Facebook executive Stephen smiling at their baby, along with a close-up shot of Skipper. She also shared a picture of the bump she had managed to keep under wraps.

The 'Pure Shores' singer is already a mother to 18-year-old Gene, from her relationship with Liam Gallagher. The couple split after discovering he was expecting a child, Gemma, with journalist Liza Ghorbani.
