‘Spirit in the Sky' singer Norman Greenbaum is in hospital after crash
Norman Greenbaum is being treated in hospital following a car crash.
The 72-year-old singer was involved in an accident in California on Saturday (March 28) that left a motorcyclist dead.
Greenbaum, who was in the passenger seat in the car involved, was in a critical condition after being admitted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, NBC News reports.
20-year-old motorcyclist Ihab Usama Halaweh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Greenbaum continues to receive care, although his current condition is unclear.
The singer's 1969 hit 'Spirit in the Sky' has been covered by the likes of Doctor and the Medics and Gareth Gates over the years.
