To be fair, it's a classic.

The US President apparently gave the North Korean leader a CD copy of Sir Elton John's 'Rocket Man', because why not?

The pair have been on better terms lately, with the two leaders meeting face-to-face for the first time in Singapore last month.

The meaning behind the unusual gift goes back to when Trump labelled Kim a "little rocket man" last summer during a war of words, in reference to North Korea's nuclear goals.

According to the South Korean paper Chosun Illbo, ‘Rocket Man’ was a genuine discussion point during Trump’s lunch with Kim – with Kim telling Trump that he didn’t know the song.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in North Korea yesterday (July 5) for further talks, and he was apparently told by Trump to take with him a copy of the classic song as a gift.

Trump even reportedly wrote a message inside the CD case for Kim.

We wish we could have seen Kim's reaction to listening to the song.
