The Rolling Stones have cancelled the remainder of their Australian and New Zealand tour dates following the death of fashion designer L'Wren Scott.
Scott - the long-time girlfriend of frontman Mick Jagger - was found hanged in her 11th Avenue apartment on Monday morning (March 17).
"Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood wish to thank all of their fans for their support at this difficult time, and hope that they will fully understand the reason for this announcement."
Fans have been advised to hold onto their tickets until further notice, with further information to follow via the band's website and promoters Frontier Touring in due course.
Jagger issued a statement earlier on Tuesday in which he said: "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."
