The singer passed away after a long battle with cancer.
The 'I Believe In Father Christmas' singer Greg Lake has died aged 69.
A post on his Facebook page written by his manager says he died after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Poole, Dorset, Greg Lake first found success as a singer and bassist in the seminal late 60s group King Crimson. He later formed the "prog rock supergroup" Emerson Lake & Palmer with Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer.
In 1975 he scored a huge Christmas hit with 'I Believe In Father Christmas', although he never intended for it to be a Christmas hit and was actually trying to make a point about the commercialisation of Christmas with the track.
Emerson Lake & Palmer played their final gig at a rock festival in Victoria Park, London in 2010.
Our thoughts are with his family.
