Here, There And Everywhere - The Beatles

Paul McCartney wrote this song which he describes as his favourite song he has ever written. It was released in 1966 and appeared on the Beatles' 'Revolver' album.

It was inspired by The Beach Boys song 'God Only Knows' and also by the singing style of '60s popstar Marianne Faithfull.

Here, There And Everywhere - David Gilmour

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour recorded his cover of the Beatles classic two years ago with his son Joe and never planned to do anything with the recording.

However, MOJO magazine convinced him to send in the recording and now it is featured on a bonus disc attached to the magazine.

He also says in an interview with the magazine, "I really with I had been in the Beatles. They taught me how to play guitar, I learnt everything. The bass parts, the lead, the rhythm, everything. They were fantastic."

“I really wish I had been in the Beatles,” he explained in the interview. “[They] taught me how to play guitar, I learnt everything. The bass parts, the lead, the rhythm, everything. They were fantastic.”
