The Take That boys are really spoiling us today...
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald have announced plans for a Greatest Hits Live tour in 2019, as well as a new Greatest Hits compilation titled Odyssey.
The new album will feature many Take That classics, as well as three new songs and a few reworked versions of some of their biggest hits.
One such song, is this new Odyssey version of their very first number one single 'Pray'. Listen to it in full below:
Take That - Pray (Odyssey Version)
The new version is a stripped back ballad, with Gary once again taking lead vocals, and slightly changing the melody of the verses. But we love it!
A full tracklisting for the album is still to be released, but it will definitely feature 27 songs in total.
The album will include soundbites from their life, to create a historical story around the songs. “The story is, if you think about it" said Howard, "quite mad."
Mark said: "We wanted to tell the tale of the band. The history of what happened to us. If you only ever own one of them, this should be the definitive Take That record."
Gary further explained: "Some have been reworked, but without spoiling what people loved about them in the first place. You’ve got to be respectful, but at the same time, you’ve got to let the ambition of doing something new and refreshed come through as well."
