Watch the Whitney Houston hologram in action in new tour trailer

The team behind An Evening with Whitney – The Whitney Houston Hologram Tour has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming tour dates.

Base Hologram and the estate of Whitney Houston have released an official video trailer, which kicks off in the UK this week.

In the trailer, viewers can get a first glimpse of the hologram performing Whitney's classic hits ‘I Will Always Love You’, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ and ‘Higher Love’.

The video also shows the live band and backing dancers as the hologram appears to walk on and off stage.

The hologram tour will feature a holographic and mixed media performance of her classic hits.

Backed by a live band, singers, and dancers, show bosses are promising the shows to be a special celebration of the late singer.

The tour promises “state-of-the-art proprietary holographic technology and combined with unmatched Broadway theatrical stagecraft, a live band, back-up singers and dancers set to digitally remastered arrangements of her classic songs” while “the production will be helmed by acclaimed choreographer Fatima Robinson”.

The new show comes from Base Entertainment – which has previously worked on hologram tours of the likes of Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison. The company were also behind developing an Amy Winehouse tour, before plans fell through.

March 2, 2020 – P&J Arena – Aberdeen

March 3, 2020 – Bord Gais Theatre – Dublin

March 4, 2020 – Arena – Birmingham

March 5, 2020 – Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth

March 6, 2020 – Motorpoint Arena – Cardiff

March 7, 2020 – Centre – Brighton

March 9, 2020 – Royal Concert Hall – Nottingham

March 10, 2020 – Hammersmith Apollo – London
