Bohemian Rhapsody still

The first full trailer for the Freddie Mercury biopic has broken free.

Queen shared the trailer today (May 15), showing fans a look at actor Rami Malek as their iconic frontman in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Watch the trailer in full below:

The trailer sees the band recording the iconic title track, while also hearing snippets of other classics such as 'Another One Bites the Dust' and 'We Will Rock You'.

Set in the 1970s, the film follows the years before the formation of Queen by Freddie, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon.

It will tell the story of the beginnings of the band, up until their show-stealing performance at Live Aid in 1985, which can be seen in all its glory in the trailer.

Ali G star Sacha Baron Cohen was originally meant to play Freddie, but creative differences saw him being replaced by Malek.

Eddie the Eagle's Dexter Fletcher has directed the film, having stepped in to replace Bryan Singer last autumn.

Bohemian Rhapsody opens at cinemas on October 24 in the UK and November 2 in the US.
