A new musical featuring Michael Jackson's music will hit Broadway in 2020.
The currently untitled musical will be written by Lynn Nottage, who previously won the Pulitzer Prize in Drama twice. Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon will choreograph the production.
The musical is said to be similar in style to the Carole King musical Beautiful, and will feature songs from Jackson's back catalogue, such as 'Man in the Mirror', 'The Way You Make Me Feel', 'Billie Jean' and 'Beat It'.
It will be the third stage production based on Michael Jackson, after the Cirque du Soleil shows Michael Jackson One in Las Vegas, and Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour. Thriller Live can also be seen in London's West End.
The project is being developed by Jackson's estate, and aims to hit Broadway within the next couple of years.
His brothers The Jacksons recently told Smooth that they plan on marking the 10th anniversary of Michael's death in 2019. Watch the interview below:
