Which Elton John song was the soundtrack to Ed Sheeran's first kiss?

Ed Sheeran has revealed that a certain Elton John classic helped him in a very important life moment.

Speaking on the upcoming TV special The Nation's Favourite Elton John Song, Ed admitted that his first kiss happened when he was listening to Elton's classic 'I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues'. Good choice, sir.

He said: "My first kiss was actually to 'I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues', so I remember that very clearly!" Watch the interview above.

Meanwhile, a host of stars will appear in the ITV show on Sunday, where they personally select their favourite Elton track:

Sting, Annie Lennox, Sir Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie, Chris Martin, Billy Joel, Kiki Dee, James Corden, Lulu, Stephen Fry, Boy George, Dionne Warwick, Sharon Osbourne and Rob Lowe will also appear. What a list!

It will also see Elton speak to David Walliams, revealing many secrets about the songs and his long-time songwriting partnership with Bernie Taupin.

The special will air on ITV this Sunday night.
