Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are reprising their roles as Bill and Ted in the highly-anticipated third instalment of the series.
The first trailer for the much-awaited sequel of the Bill and Ted franchise has been released.
The short teaser shows the legendary characters Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan (Keanu Reeves) and Bill S. Preston (Alex Winter) embark on another sci-fi adventure.
Bill & Ted Face the Music is set to be released on August 21. Watch the trailer above.

It was over two decades ago that the original film – Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure – first hit the big screen in 1989.
It's sequel, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, followed shortly after in 1991.
The third instalment of the series takes place in real time and sees the now adult metalheads tackle a new adventure, after receiving a message which tells them that only their song can save the world and bring harmony to the universe.

They're also joined by two new characters in the movie – their daughters – who are played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine.
It seems it's just the right time for the much-loved series to finally release its latest lighthearted instalment.
Bill & Ted Face the Music is scheduled to be released on August 21.
